Allergy shots are not recommended to start on patients who are pregnant. If there is a treatment that has already begun, it should be continued under the control of an allergy specialist. However, in this situation doses should not be increased until after birth. The most importing thing is allergy avoidance during pregnancy.
What Is Anaphylaxis?
Anaphylaxis is an allergic reaction and a disease that can be fatal if it is not treated immediately. It occurs because of bee sting or drugs such as penicillin shot, and its most common symptoms are sudden swelling in face, lips, tongue, and throat; paleness, skin redness, itching, shortness of breath, wheezing, sweating, drop in the blood pressure, fever, cardiac dysrhythmia, bruising, stomach cramps, vomiting, diarrhea, eclampsia, respiratory standstill and loss of consciousness. In this situation, patients should be urgently taken into health facilities, because anaphylaxis causes death.
